Students must attend a university with an established exchange agreement and be nominated by their study abroad office. Nominations can be emailed to cua-cuabroad@cua.edu.

Each student must then complete the following steps:

1. Register at goabroad.cua.edu.

2. Complete the required application materials and questionnaires.

3. Mail an official transcript to

Office of Education Abroad
The Catholic University of America
McMahon Hall #110
620 Michigan Avenue NE
Washington, DC 20064

or have your university email a scanned transcript to global-strategies@cua.edu.
(We cannot accept scanned transcripts sent by students).

CUAbroad will formally accept eligible applicants and assign an ID number and CUA e-mail address. A formal acceptance packet will be sent that will include academic information, important visa documentation, and what to expect before your arrival at CUA. Students are required to check their CUA e-mail regularly for updates from the Office of Global Strategies and CUA Housing Services. Access to these accounts will be outlined in the acceptance packet, which will assist in monitoring registration, your student account, and grades.

Information in regards to applying for your visa can be found on the International Student Scholar and Services website. Make note that you are a J-1 student.
