The Catholic University of America hosts a number of visiting international exchange students on its Washington, DC campus under the auspices of formal agreements with partner institutions outside the US. For every incoming student, one Catholic University student is allowed to study at the partner institution. Incoming exchange students are not permitted to pursue a degree at Catholic University(they will be in a non-degree status) and, similarly, outgoing students will not be candidates for degrees at the partner institution abroad.
Incoming exchange students must work with their respective home institutions in order to obtain a nomination and endorsement of their candidacy to participate in the exchange. All applications by prospective exchange students must be submitted to the home institution's study abroad office unless noted otherwise.
The home institution reviews all applications, selects and nominates participants to CUAbroad for consideration. Final acceptance by Catholic University is granted following the academic review of the application. Incomplete applications or those submitted by an individual student without institutional support will not be considered.
